As part of the ‘Mind the Gap Survey’ we identified that many Petroleum, and other engineering students, struggle to gain experience in the workplace, where they have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge. While Bentworth Energy is only able to offer a limited number of internship placements, we are always exploring new ways in which we can support the future Kenyan engineering workforce.
Last week we hosted a number of 4th year Petroleum Engineering students from Nairobi University. As part of their day at Bentworth Energy, we were able to demonstrate some of our core activities, practical and managerial. Students had the opportunity to spend some time in our laboratory exploring some of our products and running a number of tests, while interacting with our staff.
