Bentworth Energy is being represented at the Baker Hughes Annual Meeting this year, by Carey Ngini, our Chairman and CEO. This is one of the industries most anticipated events, bringing together global leaders to debate key issues and learn more about the latest innovations for the industry. The 21st Annual Meeting is currently taking place in Florence, Italy.
Carey has highlighted the following areas as of specific interest for the oil and gas industry in East Africa moving forward.
- The global transition to gas, from oil, as a primary source of cleaner energy.
- The global charge to reduce CO2 emissions by use of new technologies, including carbon capture, use and storage.
- The application of technology, specifically AI, data analytics to improve efficiency, increase production and reduce risk.
This is our third year at this conference and it is interesting to see how the conversations and technology in the industry have evolved and developed over the last 12 months.
