The East Africa Oil & Gas Summit and Exhibition, which has been running for 5 years, partnered with The Upstream Oil & Gas Awards, to host their first ever event in 2018, endorsed by the Kenyan Ministry of Energy. The aim of the awards was to recognise excellence within the upstream oil and gas community.
Bentworth was proud to be nominated, and to win the Oilfield Services Company of the Year. There was some tough competition from Schlumberger, Royal Oilfield Logistics, Drilling Spare and Services Limited, National Oilwell Varco and Baker Hughes a GE Company.
In her acceptance speech Lynette Nyagah, the Project Lead at Bentworth, gave specific thanks to the team and highlighted that Bentworth is the first Kenyan owned upstream oil and gas company and has only been in operation for 2 years. She also thanked Tullow for giving Bentworth a chance and Baker Hughes a GE Company, a channel partner of Bentworth, for partnering with and believing in the team.
