Collins Munene, a Project Engineer at Bentworth Energy, is a graduate of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with a degree in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering. He first joined Bentworth in 2023 as a laboratory attaché, where he gained foundational experience in cement slurry formulation, testing protocols, and quality control. In 2024, he rejoined the company as a Project Engineer.
In his role, Collins plays a critical part in the planning, coordination, and execution of cementing operations across various projects. His responsibilities include preparing software simulations and interpreting the results, developing cementing programmes and comprehensive reports, and conducting vital laboratory tests. He works closely with field teams, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment between project objectives and on-site execution.
In addition to his engineering duties, Collins serves as the Quality Lead. At Bentworth Energy, this role is central to maintaining and managing all quality-related documentation to ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards. This includes developing and updating quality manuals, inspection reports, checklists, and non-conformance records. The Quality Lead ensures every document is accurate, traceable, and aligned with applicable regulations such as ISO standards. By overseeing the documentation process, they help promote consistency, accountability, and transparency across operations. This attention to detail and commitment to rigorous record-keeping supports audits, client reviews, and continuous improvement efforts within the company.
