Heizel Selesi, a project engineer, joined the team in 2022. A graduate of the University of Nairobi with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, she first made her mark leading the Ormat Geothermal Project. Currently, she is spearheading the Cella Project, utilising her technical expertise and skills.
Heizel is responsible for a range of essential tasks, including preparing software simulations and interpreting results, developing cementing programmes and comprehensive reports, and conducting vital laboratory tests. She also oversees project execution while prioritising quality and safety in every aspect of her work. Her diligent inventory control and commitment to operational excellence ensure that all projects adhere to the highest industry standards. Heizel’s problem-solving skills and technical acumen are integral to enhancing safety and operational efficiency within Bentworth Energy’s diverse portfolio of projects.
Outside of her engineering role, Heizel is passionate about freestyle football. This discipline, which requires creativity, precision, and relentless practice, allows her to express herself artistically. Her journey in freestyle football has taken her to national and international platforms, where she competes and inspires others, especially young girls, to defy stereotypes and pursue their dreams.
